Where can I download the latest
version of the Windows Media® player?
Download
the Windows Media® player for PC or Macintosh.
What do dialup and broadband
mean and what is the difference between them?
The media descriptions describe the minimum Internet
connections you need to experience the media. Dialup
requires a minimum of a 28kbs connection to the
internet usually over a modem. The content may be
transferred at a lower rate, but suitable for the
connection speed. You can always play the lower
speed content over high-speed lines. Broadband
connections (DSL, Cable, T1, etc ...) imply better
overall quality of content and is encoded at 128kbs
or higher. If I can hear audio, why
can't I see video?
Make sure that your Windows Media® player is
working correctly, go to the Windows
Media® player demo page, and click one of
the streams. If you are getting an error message
when you try to play the .avi file, you can also
check out MSDN for a resolution.
